Tesamorelin is a GHRH analogue, not growth hormone itself. EMA describes stimulation of growth-hormone release, while trials measured IGF-1. Hormonal and abdominal-fat endpoints are not proof of general health benefit. A growth-hormone-releasing-factor analogue is evaluated in a specific clinical context; biomarkers are not a universal suitability measure.
